Caisheng Advances Hybrid Printing Technology with Letterpress & Flexo Integration

Caisheng is currently advancing the development and assembly of a new-generation hybrid printing solution that combines both intermittent Letterpress and flexographic printing technologies within a single machine platform.

This new configuration is designed to provide label converters with greater flexibility in production, enabling multiple printing processes to be completed in one pass. By integrating the strengths of both letterpress and flexo systems, the machine is expected to support a wider range of substrates and complex label structures, including multi-layer labels, decorative labels, and high-value packaging applications.

The hybrid system aims to optimize production efficiency while maintaining high precision in each printing stage. Letterpress units are well known for their excellent detail reproduction and stable ink transfer on coated and specialty materials, while flexographic units offer advantages in high-speed production and compatibility with a broader range of films and flexible substrates.

By combining these two technologies, Caisheng is working toward a solution that allows printing, varnishing, cold foil stamping, lamination, and die-cutting to be integrated into one streamlined workflow. This significantly reduces the need for multiple machines and multiple production steps, helping customers save both time and operational costs.

At present, the machine is in the assembly stage, with structural integration and modular unit alignment being carefully tested. Engineering teams are focusing on ensuring registration accuracy, process stability, and smooth transition between different printing modes.

Once completed, this hybrid platform will further expand Caisheng’s portfolio of multi-functional label printing solutions, reinforcing its commitment to innovation in narrow-web printing technology.
